Filipino Food

Filipino Feast

Saturday 19th October, 6.00pm

Come and join us for a feast of delicious, authentic Filipino food, cooked by Jifelane and her helpers. Filipino food is full of flavour and takes influences from across south east Asia.

Tickets: £10 or £20 for a family, with all profits going to Shekinah Cerebral Palsy Support Centre in the Philippines, which is being set up by Neil and Jifelane Wilson from our congregation. There will be more familiar food available for children who are less adventurous.

"The vision for the charity was birthed by the Lord after we purchased over 1000 sq metres of land on the island of Panglao, Bohol. After meeting with a number of charities in the Philippines and in the UK, we knew he was leading us to develop a Support Centre for children with Cerebral Palsy. A Governing Document has been written along with a detailed Plan of Action. We need a team of Trustees to be in place before we apply for charitable status, which is A MATTER OF URGENT PRAYER. We are hoping to be a CIO before the end of 2019.

Our plan is to fund raise and generate a support base over the next five years and to be 'up and running' as Shekinah Cerebral Palsy Support Centre by the end of 2024. We will also continue to support our partners Cerebral Palsy Epilepsy Awareness Family Support, who run seminars for parents across the Philippines. We believe they will be an integral part of our future work.
